Restorations

Do you ever wish you could have that old bike you had as a kid ? or do you have fond memories of picking up your first new bike back in the 70s, Well here at vintage Motorsports we can make that dream come true. Restorations are where Vintage Motorsports  really shines.  We take great pride in every bike or part we restore.  Its not just a job to us, its our passion.  We specialize in all early Honda ATC's, Minitrails, dirtbikes, etc., but will restore any make and model.  Whether you need a tank straightened and painted, or a frame up restoration on your ATV or dirtbike we can provide you with the highest quality you can find.  We don't do quick cosmetic touchup work, all of our restoration work "show quality".  Since all bikes are in different conditions, we can not give menu pricing for restoration work.  Give us a call or email us stating what you need done and a few pictures and we can give you ballpark figures.  Remember, quality work is not cheap.  A lot of time goes into our restoration work and it shows in the end.  Most of our work is done long distance so  you dont have to be next door to receive the highest  Restoration work in the country. Ship us your bike and we can ship anywhere in country.

Here is an example of a  Restored 73 ATC70 in the crate on its way to its new owner

Here are a few examples of  piece type work we do:

  1. Fuel tank repair
Pulling dents out and resealing if necessary

  2. Full body shop work
    Metal and fiberglass work

  3. Full paint shop
We can color match anything.  All we need is a good sample to match. We use only the best paints most of our colors we use  Dupont base/clear  but for the early Honda Candy colors we use house of color paints  and yes  We can do any Candy color!!

  4. Sand blasting
Glass bead- we use real fine glass bead to restore bare aluminum parts such as engine cases and heads to the factory new look they need to be
Plastic Media - plastic is used as to not cause any pitting and to give an new metal  look when removing paint
Crushed walnut shells - We use crushed walnut shells to clean up Carburator bodys during a carb restoration it is so fine that it will not hurt the anodizing that the factory puts on the aluminum

  5. Welding and fabrication
